CANCEL·LAT

Cancel·lat is a project born from a personal need to give shape to profound and long-standing ideas, with the ultimate goal of making a positive impact on society while laying the groundwork for an independent and meaningful professional life. This initiative represents a turning point, allowing me to transform a creative drive into a solid platform for social and environmental change.

Within the context of the master’s program I am currently pursuing, Cancel·lat might initially seem unrelated to the formal objectives of the course. However, I am leveraging the tools, spaces for reflection, and resources provided by the program to go beyond the academic requirements and develop this project. The aim is not only to complete the assigned tasks but to integrate them into a broader narrative: the creation of a multidisciplinary project that enables me to conceptualize and produce the first works, actions, and working methodologies. This process also helps me organize my ideas, design a structured "map," and establish a foundation that I can follow once the program is complete.

Cancel·lat: Mission and Values

Cancel·lat is a multidisciplinary and ethical creative studio with a clear purpose: to use creativity as a tool to challenge power structures and inspire societal change. The project revolves around the central concept of "canceling the elites," symbolizing the need to question, expose, and transform the unjust and destructive practices of those who wield excessive power to the detriment of the common good.

Through works of art, symbolic products, and activist actions, Cancel·lat seeks to raise societal awareness about the urgent need to change how we live, consume, and interact with our natural environment. But the project isn’t just about making a statement; it’s about generating creative and inspiring solutions that open new possibilities for a more just and sustainable future.

Cancel·lat: Using the System to Transform It

One of the most intriguing and paradoxical aspects of Cancel·lat is its strategy for achieving economic sustainability. While critiquing the capitalist system, the project uses the system's traditional tools—marketing, product creation, and mass distribution—to spread its message and generate resources. This approach ensures Cancel·lat’s self-sufficiency, enabling it to serve as an ongoing creative platform.

The works and products of Cancel·lat are not mere objects of consumption but vehicles of transformation. Each piece conveys a powerful message and encourages collective reflection and action, making the capitalist system itself an unwitting ally in the push for change.

Long-Term Objectives

  1. Raising Social Awareness: Through impactful works, symbolic products, and visible actions, Cancel·lat aims to open society’s eyes to social inequalities, the climate crisis, and the concentration of power in the hands of a few.

  2. Building a Movement: Beyond a creative studio, Cancel·lat aspires to become a platform that unites people with diverse interests but a common goal: redefining the values and practices that govern our world.

  3. Developing an Ethical Model: Cancel·lat seeks to prove that it’s possible to live and thrive within an unjust system while actively working to transform it. This involves adopting sustainable, ethical, and inclusive practices in every aspect of the project.

  4. Creating a Legacy: The ultimate goal is to establish a lasting structure that continues to generate impact beyond my direct involvement, becoming a reference for future creators and activists.

In Summary

Cancel·lat is more than just a project; it is a call to action and a proposal to rethink how we live and work. It balances criticism of the system with the intelligent use of its tools to build a better future. Using the master’s program as an initial platform, I aim to lay the groundwork for Cancel·lat to become a professional reality and a powerful agent of change.
